Chameleon is the only way to describe this venue. A restaurant and a bar in one with a vibe as chilled as you like early in the week but come the weekends and long summer nights the vibe moves up a gear and the energy levels rise. We can't get enough of the Vietnamese menu and the potent cocktails which keep bringing us back for more.

If you like a bit of classic 90's Brit Pop, an endless list of guest ales and a discerning wine list then this is the place for you to ponder your day's purchases and chew the fat with a friend. Low lit with candles but a little rough around the edges means it avoids any cutesy romantic labeling. Late nights and weekends they turn up the volume on the tunes but otherwise it's a laidback watering hole. Again, no liquor license. What is it with this country?

A Flirtini, Tartini, Saketini.... this is where you will find your late night martini sipping crowd. Dress for the occasion and be careful how many you have or you might not remember leaving. Is that a bad thing?

So what can you do in NY after dark that doesn't involve alchohol or a cheesy movie? The Film Forum will quench your cultural thirst for an independent movie in what can be described as an alternative viewing space where you feel they have just rolled out the projector and a few comfy seats. Here you can see the latest American independent films and foreign art films. Film Forum is as far removed from a commercial cinema experience as you can get in New York, or possibly in the US.
