We love this subterranean cocktail bar. Apart from the doorman perched on his stool outside the door on weekend evenings, you would be hard pushed to know it was here. Downstairs the party is rocking. Classic cocktails and champagne are on order. If you normally like a Cosmo then this is the time to try something new.
The New York Friday Lunch Club has described the scene in "the pig" to friends as "the English Dog & Duck meets Manhattan understated cool". Cocktails and real ale sit happily alongside each other. When last orders are called there is surely another room to find? Or so I've heard. Go on, ask them........!
This is where the scene is at in the Village after hours. Every orientation rocking the party and hanging hard.
Sometimes all you need is a good bottle of wine, some Mediterranean bar snacks brought to your table and a very low light. It's the stuff that great nights are made of.
This bar may only be large enough for ten and a half very little people but if you manage to squeeze in you will not be disappointed. The crowd is as discerning as the wine list which might require you to enlist the bar tender's recommendation. This is 2010 bohemia.
